February Luncheon - 2020

On February 25th, SWA held the luncheon seminar “Big changes to the Construction Act are Here!” which highlighted the changes to the Construction Act including a new statutory regime for prompt payment of invoices and a new dispute resolution process called adjudication to deal with most types of project disputes.

SWA invited Faren Bogach of WeirFoulds LLP back to speak on this topic. Faren spoke to the association back at the May 2018 seminar when the new Construction Lien Amendment Act was just being introduced. She and her colleague, Caitlin Steven, returned to highlight the key features of the changes and share practical advice about how to adjust to the realities of prompt payment and adjudication.
