May Luncheon Seminar

On May 16th, SWA hosted the luncheon seminar on O.Reg. 406/19: On-Site and Excess Soil Management and was presented by Freesia Waxman from Grounded Engineering. In this presentation, Freesia discussed the overview of the guidelines and the timeline for implementation, a general overview of the purpose and objectives of the regulation, key definitions, types of reuse sites, roles and responsibilities, the waste designation and what is needed to avoid soil being deemed ‘waste’, the excess soil reuse planning documents, and exemptions to some of the requirements.
